Reliable thermal protection in all conditions
ThermoPlume® is the latest innovation by PrimaLoft and currently considered the most powerful synthetic insulation. Small, silky plumes of fiber mimic the lightweight warmth, softness and compressibility of natural goose down. The thermal output is comparable to a 550 fill power down. This insulation is, however, more efficient than traditional down when wet, remaining warm and dry in the harshest weather conditions. Because of its hydrophobic and fast-drying properties, ThermoPlume® is unbeatable in high humidity or on sweaty ascents.
Lightweight and enhanced durability
NexoShell™ Elements is a lightweight and durable high-performance ripstop nylon fabric (47g/m², 30D). Its tightly woven structure provides a soft yet abrasion resistant fabric. NexoShell™ Elements is both windproof and breathable and maximizes the thermal efficiency of insulation. A durable water repellent (DWR) finish provides additional weather protection against light rain and snow.
Heat where your body needs it the most
Advanced body-mapping technology ensures that heat is delivered where your body needs it most. We apply a combination of strategically distributed micro and nano baffles to achieve thermal efficiency. The nano baffles under the arms and along the side of the body allow for greater flexibility and heat release during strenguous activities, while the larger micro baffles allow for heat retention in key areas. This enables the use of the ASCENTEC ONE across activities with different thermal demands.
